Pan and zoom to move around a large canvas, then fit the whole layout or just a selection into view. For the zoom controls and minimap, see Pan and zoom the canvas.
Frame the canvas
- Drag an empty area of the canvas to pan.
- Use the − and + controls by the zoom percentage, or use the mouse wheel or trackpad to zoom.
- Press Shift + 1 to fit all nodes. Press Shift + 2 to fit the current selection.
- You can also open the command palette and choose Fit all.
TipHold Ctrl while scrolling on Windows or Linux, or Cmd on macOS, to zoom the canvas around a focused terminal.
LimitA terminal with keyboard focus receives its own wheel and keys. Panning, zooming, and fitting do not create undo steps.
Try it here
Hold Space and drag, or scroll, to pan. Hold Ctrl or Cmd and scroll to zoom. Shift and 1 fits everything. Arrow keys pan.
Step 1 of 3: Hold Space and drag to pan.
Click the canvas first. Scrolling pans too, and so does the middle button.
