Create and edit Markdown notes

Add a note node, write Markdown, and let MAO save the note locally.

A note is a local Markdown file shown as a node on your canvas. Select it to edit; when you leave it unselected, its card previews the opening lines.

Add a note

  1. Choose New note from the canvas controls.
  2. Place the note on the canvas.
  3. Select it and type your Markdown content.
  4. Click another node or empty canvas when you are done; MAO saves edits to the note file.
NoteThe note editor styles Markdown as you type; it does not have separate raw and rendered modes.
LimitIf another process changes the same note, MAO preserves your local edits when the shared text has changed and surfaces the conflict instead of overwriting them.
