Edit a project file

Open a project file as plain text and let MAO save your edits.

Updated 1 min read

The project file editor opens safe UTF-8 files as plain text and saves edits automatically. Select a file in a file tree to create its editor node.

Open and edit a file

  1. Add a New file tree node and browse to the file.
  2. Select a regular file to open its editor node.
  3. Type your changes; MAO autosaves them.
  4. Choose the Git status chip on the editor to show or hide its diff.
NoteIf the file changes outside MAO, the editor detects that change before saving over it.
LimitFiles are limited to 1 MiB. MAO refuses symlinks and paths outside the project root. The editor has no syntax highlighting, search, or diagnostics.
