Land a layer into Ground

Check a layer and merge or fast-forward its branch into Ground.

Landing brings a layer’s Git branch into Ground after MAO checks the worktree and destination. Review the checks before confirming the change.

Land a layer

  1. Switch to Ground.
  2. Open the layer row menu and choose Land…, or choose Land layer: <name>… from the palette.
  3. Review the checks and destination branch in the landing sheet.
  4. Enable Keep the layer only if you want to keep it after landing.
  5. Choose Land to proceed.
NoteAn Orchestrator can use mao layer land "<name>" from Ground.
LimitMAO checks for conflicts and uncommitted changes first. By default the layer is archived after landing.
