# Set sound cues and reduced motion

Adjust synthesized interaction sounds, their volume, and reduced-motion behavior.

MAO synthesizes short interaction sounds and lets you adjust their volume. Reduced motion is available in the same settings area.

## Adjust sound and motion

1. Open **Settings**.
2. Adjust **Sound** and its volume.
3. Turn on **Reduced motion** if you prefer fewer animated transitions.

> **Note:** Bridge-originated interaction sounds play at half volume.

> **Limit:** These settings do not control audio from a program running in a terminal.
