# Compose prompts with context
Draft a prompt for selected agents with connected references and file attachments.
The prompt composer sends a message to one or more selected agents. You can reference connected agents or notes, attach files, and keep a draft for each node.
## Send a prompt
1. Select an agent and open **Send prompt**, or use the composer at the bottom of the canvas.
2. Type your prompt. Enter **@** to choose a connected agent or note to reference.
3. Add any files you want to attach and check the recipient list.
4. Press Enter to send. Use Shift + Enter for a new line, or Ctrl + Enter on Windows/Linux and Cmd + Enter on macOS to send.
> **Limit:** Mentions are limited to connected context. You can attach up to 8 files; inline text is limited to 64 KiB, and note reads are limited to 64 KiB. Draft text persists per node, but attachment paths rather than file contents are saved.
