# Group nodes

Move a selection of connected canvas nodes together as a group.

A canvas group lets you move several nodes as one unit. Grouping affects layout only; it does not change which peers an agent can access.

## Group a selection

1. Select the nodes you want to move together.
2. Choose **Group** in the selection toolbar or command palette.
3. Drag a grouped node to move the group.
4. Choose **Ungroup** in the toolbar or palette when you want to move nodes separately.

> **Note:** Grouping one selected node also includes nodes connected to it.

> **Limit:** A group does not change orchestration access or the permissions granted by node connections.
