# Review repository changes

Browse staged, unstaged, and other repository changes in one live view.

The repository changes view shows Git status across the project. Use its tabs and file actions to review and stage changes.

## Open the changes view

1. Choose **Git repository status** from the toolbar or command palette.
2. Choose **All**, **Changes**, or **Staged** to filter the list.
3. Type in **Filter files** to find a path. Use **Stage all** or **Unstage all** when appropriate.
4. Open **More** for **Hide whitespace**, **Expand all files**, **Collapse all files**, **Refresh**, and **Copy git diff command**.
5. Open a file or hunk menu to stage, unstage, or restore that change.

> **Limit:** This view reads live repository state and is not saved in canvas JSON. It displays at most 2 MiB or 5,000 entries. Restore actions ask before changing files and refuse unsafe operations.
