# Browse recent Git history

Review recent commits and read their metadata, stats, and patches.

The repository changes panel includes a read-only history view. Select a commit to see its details and patch.

## View a commit

1. Open **Git repository status**.
2. Choose **History**.
3. Select a commit to view its metadata, change summary, and patch.

> **Limit:** The history list shows up to 200 commits. Commit details are read-only; branch labels and a commit graph are not included.
