# Browse project files

Open a project file tree and select regular files to view or edit.

A file tree node browses files beneath the project root. Expand folders to find a file, then select a regular file to open it.

## Browse the tree

1. Choose **New file tree** and place the node on the canvas.
2. Expand a folder to browse its contents.
3. Choose **Refresh** to reload the listing.
4. Select a regular file to open it in a project file editor.

> **Limit:** The tree stays inside the project root, cannot be connected to an agent, and shows at most 5,000 entries.
