# Find available MAO CLI commands

Use mao help to find the bridge commands available to connected agents and Orchestrators.

The `mao` command exposes bridge actions for connected agents. Run `mao help` in a connected terminal to see the command syntax available there.

## Use a bridge command

1. Open a connected agent terminal.
2. Run `mao help` and choose the command for the task.
3. Run the command with the peer, note, task, or other ID it needs.
4. Use `mao check <agent>` or `mao ask <agent> --raw <input>` to inspect or type into a connected local terminal.

> **Note:** With arguments, `mao` runs a command. Without arguments, it opens the MAO desktop app.

> **Limit:** Some commands require the **ORCHTOPUS** permission. Agents cannot delete workspaces, folders, canvases, or layers; layers can be archived. Remote runtimes are not included.
