# Select, move, and resize nodes

Select one or more canvas nodes, move them together, or resize a node.

Select nodes to move or resize them on the canvas. You can select a group and move its unlocked nodes together.

## Select nodes

1. Click a node header, card, or shape to select it. Click empty canvas to clear the selection.
2. Hold <kbd>Shift</kbd> and click nodes to add them to or remove them from the selection. You can also drag on empty canvas to draw a selection box; hold <kbd>Shift</kbd> while dragging to add to the current selection.
3. Press <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> + <kbd>A</kbd> on Windows or Linux, or <kbd>Cmd</kbd> + <kbd>A</kbd> on macOS, to select all nodes.

## Move and resize

1. Drag a selected node by its header or frame to move it. When several nodes are selected, drag one of them to move the group.
2. Select a node and drag its resize handle to change its size.

> **Tip:** Hold <kbd>Space</kbd> while dragging to pan the canvas without changing the selection.

> **Limit:** A terminal or text editor with keyboard focus keeps its own typing and selection. Locked nodes cannot be resized or moved. In a group move, a locked node stays in place while unlocked nodes move.
